Bairnies Cuddle Doon - Part 2

If anyone's interested, I found out a bit more about Alexander Anderson, the author of Bairnies Cuddle Doon. It seems he was quite a guy.

  2. Anderson came from Kirkconnell and Crocketford - just a wheen o miles frae Stranraer. I wonder how he came to be so popular 100 years ago in county Down? His background as a "railwayman" poet gives a certain urban cuedos too. A significant break from the rural stereotype.
